Privacy Policy
Overview. EduPrompt.ai (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we use cookies and process limited personal data when you browse pages, subscribe to updates, or view ads. It is designed to be compatible with GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, and California privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA), as well as Google policies for AdSense and Analytics.
Data we process
- Contact data (newsletter only): email address and optional name, if you choose to submit it.
- Usage and device data: IP address, device/browser type, approximate location, referral URLs, pages viewed, events, timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used to remember consent, measure performance, and deliver/limit ads.
Purposes and legal bases (EU/UK)
- Essential site operation, security, and fraud prevention — legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Advertising (Google AdSense) — consent where required (Art. 6(1)(a)) and legitimate interests in non-personalized contexts.
Cookies, consent, and controls
We use a Consent Management Platform (CMP). Non-essential cookies (analytics/ads) load only after you grant consent. You can change or withdraw consent at any time via the Privacy Settings link in the footer. Your preferences are stored in a cookie. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, we treat them as an opt-out where required.
Google AdSense (ads)
We show ads via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and collect data to deliver, personalize, and measure ads; combat fraud and abuse; and maintain a safe experience. Where required, we request your consent before enabling personalized advertising. Learn more in Google’s Policies and Terms; manage ad personalization at your Google Ads Settings page. You may opt out of non-essential cookies in our CMP at any time.
Google Analytics 4 (measurement)
We use GA4 to understand site usage and improve content. GA4 may collect IP addresses (with IP masking where supported), device information, and event data. We configure retention to the shortest practical window and do not use GA to identify individuals.
Disclosures and transfers
We share data with service providers that support hosting, security, analytics, consent management, email delivery, and advertising. When data is transferred outside your region (e.g., from the EEA or UK), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Newsletter data is stored until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics/ads data is retained per provider defaults and our configuration (typically 14–26 months).
Your rights
Subject to law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time for future processing. California residents also have rights under CCPA/CPRA (including the right to opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising). Use the Contact link in the footer to submit a request.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 (or a higher age where required).
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. “Last updated” will be revised upon publication.
